VP - Product Control/Valuation - Inv Bank

The Valuations Team in Pune to perform price testing for a wide and expanding range of the bank’s trading assets and liabilities across all business clusters, calculation of provisions and in depth review of the bank's more complex trades.

The team performs Structured Trade Reviews for an ever expanding range of Exotic Equity, FX, Interest Rate, Fund Linked Products, Emerging Markets, Commodities and Credit Derivatives for desks based in Asia, Europe and the US.

Valuations is divided into two broad product aligned teams and we are currently searching for a VP to manage one of these teams. The role reports into the director of the Pune Valuations team.

Together we contribute to the control over the modelling and valuation integrity of the bank.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

- Management and oversight of a team of approx 20 people with responsibility for Structured Trade Reviews, monthend and intra-month price testing and on-going deployment effort.

- Providing technical and professional leadership to an extremely bright, ambitious team on a range of complex issues spanning multiple asset classes and managerial challenges.

- Liaison with senior Product Control management across variety of asset classes both on day to day issues surrounding trades and valuations as well as strategic deployments.

- Liaison with senior management in Front Office when required on valuation issues arising out of the STR process.

ESSENTIAL

- CA/ ICWA/ MBA with 12 years of work experience. Strong experience in Valuations/ Product Control is a MUST.

- Previous experience in a Product Control role or other valuations oriented area with exposure to price testing, valuation issues.

- Prior management experience in a banking environment.

- Solid understanding of valuation principles spanning a range of asset classes.
