About our Client - Our client is a multi billion dollar private equity fund with over a dozen investments across different industries including retail, financial services, technology, healthcare and industrials. With a stellar investment team that adopts a very hands on approach to investing, this is an excellent opportunity for a VP candidate to play a leading role to source deals in the pharmaceutical space.
Job Description - You will report directly to the Director of the fund. You will lead transactions in the pharmaceutical space, from sourcing the deal, negotiating the term sheet, conducting due diligence, to executing the transaction and monitoring the investment. You will see the life cycle of a PE transaction and work closely with all stakeholders, including lawyers, accountants and bankers. A big component of the role will be to make recommendations to the investment committee.
The Successful Candidate - You will have an MBA from a tier 1 business school in India (IIM or ISB) and preferably be a CA. You will have between 8 to 9 years of post MBA experience (batch of 2003 and 2004). This role requires exposure to the pharmaceutical space, either consulting experience with a reputed management consulting firm, or deal investment experience (3-4 deals) with a private equity fund. You will have outstanding communication skills and be able to work independently whilst mentoring junior associates on deals.
