VP- Pricing & Valuation

Responsibilities:

Stakeholders/Clients:

- Use industry standard best practices to deliver high quality actuarial services & functions

- Leverage synergies between global Information systems

- Take strategic actions that address customer needs/expectations

People:

- Directly manage senior leadership as well as Operations

- Staff global actuarial with sufficient resources & an appropriate skills mix to establish a robust technology framework.

- Lead,manage & motivate team members to achieve desired outcomes & objectives

- Work with HR & Training to establish technical courses & training programs for solution delivery & Global actuarial resources.

- Implement a knowledge management function to improve leveraging of intellectual capital

Financial:

- Work with global leadership & finance function to create accurate budget forecasts.

- Provide approval for actuarial expenditures within prescribed approval limits.

Knowledge & Skills:

- Ability to communicate effectively & collaborate with stakeholders

- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills & effective working relationships.

- Proven experience in managing large teams.

- Change leadership & organisational transformation experience

- Leadership experience in the professional services industry & in matrixed structured orgainsations

Education:

Bachelors degree in Math,Statistics,Actuarial Science,Business or related field.

Experience:

14 plus years of relevant work experience within analytics domain managing off shore operations (through SLAs & stakeholders interaction)

Affiliation & some progress towards fellow of an accredited actuarial institute(eg FIAI,FIA,FSA,FCAS) though not necessary would be an asset.
