VP - Risk and Controls - Finance Shared Services

Location Mumbai

Shift Timings, if any: General

Job Purpose : - Design and implement control framework for Finance shared services at ISPL Mumbai.

- Risk mapping / Control self-assessment for all the work streams of Finance shared services.

- Identify control gaps and propose solutions and ensure control gaps are adequately addressed

- Implement control testing program

- Identify system/ control deficiencies and propose solution to strengthen the control environment

- Conduct pre-migration risk and control assessment for new migrations

- Identify level 1 and level 2 controls to be performed, inventories the controls.

- Review to ensure Level 1 Controls are being performed.

- Perform Level 2 controls

- Preparation of ICC package

- Follow up on the implementation of Inspection General (Internal Audit) recommendations / findings

- Review operational risks at regular intervals

- Liaise with OPC co-ordinators at ISPL and head of Accounting Controls to implement new controls and new policies

- Contribute to Finance projects linked to strengthening controls

- Report incidents and accounting issues

- Contribute to Operational Permanent Control framework

- Conduct pre audit reviews

- Oversee Business continuity planning

- Engage with onshore control functions and AC team in Paris to implement consistent practices

- Conduct Risk and Control training sessions and workshops for the staff on the floor.

- Candidate will actively contribute to the implementation of the target mandate of Global Finance Projects

Key Responsibilities :

Overall responsibility for the Risk and Control function for Finance shared services.

Designing and implementing the control framework

Ensuring controls are working

Reporting to ICC, management and HO on the controls

Candidate Requirements for the role:

- Education Background: - B. Com. Chartered Accountant with a strong control mindset

- #years of experience: - 10 -16 years of post-qualification experience, in a control function in Banking / Financial services. Experience in Operations Risk, SOX, Internal audit would be desirable.

- Technical knowledge & Skills:

- Good understanding of the Investing Banking operations and products

- Understanding and hands on experience in Accounting and Finance function in a large Banking / Financial institution

- Strong control mind set

- Ability to work with teams, influence and co-ordinate with onshore and offshore counterparts

- Good presentation skills

- Strong in MS office

- Detail oriented

- Strong communication skills

- Knowledge of multiple Finance functions in a banking environment. [Finance & Accounts (F&A), Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)]

- Knowledge of Project Management (Business Process Migration & Re engineering) of a Financial Services/Banking MNC or similar industry.

- Ability to collaborate with multiple parties, both onshore and offshore in order to achieve key milestones within stipulated time.

- Having experience in developing and delivering presentations to senior management.
