We are currently hiring for a leading Global Investment bank in Bangalore :

The team seeks a senior-Associate, junior-VP level focus on various work streams with key responsibilities for risk and control enhancements,process re-engineering, industry / regulatory change and impact analysis, system and flow enhancement, as well as partnering with divisional ERMs on risk management implementation, and with the business on technology and risk initiatives.

Key Workstreams

- Industry / Regulatory Requirements: Keep abreast of changes in the business and regulatory landscape that may have potential margin implications. Participate in the GS regulatory working groups and external organizations (i.e. FINRA, ISDA, Clearing Venues) and lead internal discussion/evaluation on any required response (communication to the business, technology enhancements). Further, own the process by which Margin Lending responds to regulator requests for information and analysis.

- New Products & Technology Enhancements: Participate in all new product reviews to ensure they can be supported in a scalable way by Margin Lending; work on testing any new flows impacting margin systems. Further, take ownership over the general enhancements process, including strategic systems planning, specification development, testing and implementation; coordinate with projects and external groups as necessary. Contribute to new technology/regulatory frameworks and builds, in particular as it relates to the emerging Derivative Clearing mandates.

- Control and Risk Management: Work with Margin Lending management and team(s) to ensure critical controls are implemented, reviewed and remain effective on an ongoing basis. This includes participation and/or ownership over internal control review(s), SOX control effectiveness evaluation, and procedure maintenance/compliance.

Other tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Establish standards and consistencies in controls and processes with the global team

- Implementing efficiency and effectiveness projects

- Participation in key management processes (SOX, Balance Sheet Substantiation)

- Perform general line functions and approvals to maintain technical skillset

Business Unit Overview:

Liquidity & Collateral Operations (LCO) manages the operational elements for daily funding and liquidity of the firm, oversees the firm's payment strategy and overall cash flows and positions, and also performs key functions related to counterparty risk management, client transparency, and product and pricing data. In addition to the traditional line functions, LCO is home to Operations Technology Strategy and Reference Data Strategy, both of which focus on strategic process and technology solutions for the division and often the broader firm.

New York Margin Lending, as part of the global MVP organization within Derivatives Operations is responsible for margin risk monitoring supporting the Private Wealth Management (PWM), Prime Brokerage (PB) and Goldman Sachs Execution and Clearing (GSEC) businesses.

Basic Qualifications

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree

- Minimum 7 years of financial industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to balance - competing priorities and meet deadlines

- Exceptional understanding of products, risks, controls and escalations process across Operations

- Excellent problem solving skills; comfort dealing with large datasets and strong numerical aptitude

- Motivated, enthusiastic and career focused. Strong motivation to succeed, both as an individual and as a team

- Desire for continued improvement and new challenges, both on a business and personal level

- Excel skills an advantage

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong appreciation of client service

Specific Experience Preferred

- Good working knowledge of product flows and systems, including OTC derivatives and intercompany processes

- Prior experience with the Margin Lending business, systems, flows, products and client base.
