Job position : VP- Market Risk Management _ Market Risk Control and Change
Job Description :
- Working within MRM's Change Management Team means working in an extremely dynamic and exciting environment. The team in general is responsible for high-profile projects with direct senior management exposure.
Market Risk Control is an Market Risk function. The primary role of Market Risk Control is to provide the following services :
- Analysing and understanding daily changes in Deutsche Bank's risk profile (VaR, sensitivities, stress tests etc.)
- Value-added analysis to enable Market Risk Management (MRM) to optimally manage risk in conjunction with the business
- Key data management tasks including risk data loading, aggregation, calculation, and reporting
- Market data sourcing and validation
- Drive user testing, training, communication and data migration for all market risk projects affecting quality and timeliness of market risk data
The specific role part of CTB (Change the Bank) and FRTB His Sim Productionzation & role comprise the following responsibilities :
- Involvement & support for the analysis of requirements for the migrating bank from Monte Carlo Sensitivity based VaR to Historical full reval based approach VaR. This will key strategic initiative of bank to cater to future regulator requirement. Team in Mumbai will analyze bench-marking & validation of full reval HS VaR.
- Support, analyze and productionization of Full reval HS VaR FRTB
- Business analysis for key deliverables. This may relate to process improvements, system or functional architecture implementation, or deliverables that are management or regulatory driven.
- Ensure engagement and coordination of functional requirements across MRM (risk managers, quantitative model review group, methodology group etc) and other key partners of MRM (Front Office, Operations, Finance etc).
- Communicate project status update to management and stakeholders and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Preparation of briefing documents as needed for discussions with/presentations to senior stakeholders
- Represent the MRM function in DB-wide programme initiatives as necessary.
- People management - Hire and train staff & responsible for staff development
- The above will be successfully delivered through a high degree of fact finding and analysis then proposing solutions to a variety of stakeholders, both inside and outside of the department.
Requirements :
- Educated to degree level - Qualified in a numerate discipline
- Experience working in a Market Risk position at an Investment Bank
- Excellent communication skills - ability to discuss and escalate technical and financial issues with global counterparts
- Detailed focused, numerically literate
- Strong technology skills and adaptability to new applications
- Strong focus on internal controls and integrity of data
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Knowledge of SAS will be plus
- Team orientated and self-motivated
- Able to cope well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
