VP - Legal & Compliance - BFSI

We are Urgently hiring for VP- Legal and Compliance for a Life Insurance Company based in Gurgaon

The position will manage and oversee the legal, and compliance functions within the organization and provide legal and compliance support to various functions, with a view to managing and mitigating legal, regulatory and contractual risks arising from the business and operations.

Principal Accountability:

- Advise the management on legality of arrangements/proposals and also ensure availability of documentation restricting legal liability within acceptable levels

- Provide inputs to business proposals to ensure legal, compliance and regulatory risks are restricted.

- Ensure accurate and timely reports to the regulator and maintain cordial relationship with the regulator to ensure smooth conduct of business

- Manage and supervise the AML review and monitoring procedures

- Lead the Legal and Compliance team by providing the requisite subject matter and management expertise required to turn around the functional responsibilities within the expected timelines.

- Compliance team’s ability to provide compliant solutions and thereby act as a business enabler

- Timely furnishing of comprehensive reports/dashboards to management and shareholders

- Implementation of processes and systems and leveraging technology to streamline the function’s routine activities and also facilitate easy tracking

- Review of products, processes and other areas which have a regulatory bearing, direct or indirect
