VP - IT Solutions

VP IT Solutions will report directly to the Managing Director and will architect, design, develop, and implement WMS and WCS solutions. As part of this role, a successful candidate will have to collaborate across different functional teams to support business objectives, and oversee internal and outsourced resources for analysis, development, testing, implementation, and go-live support of the WMS.

We are looking for Technology Leader who will help us set up and build a Supply Chain Technology team for ThinkLink. Experience in WMS and WCS Technology (development and delivery) is essential, exposure to other Supply Chain Technology products is desirable.

- Overall responsibility for Design, Development, Delivery, Time, and Budget on all Technology initiatives at ThinkLink

- Develop and monitor project plan for WMS implementation, including time estimates for each milestone within the project. Assign and direct work with internal and external resources. Monitor adherence to performance standards.

- Apply Project Management Methodology for successful implementation of IT Solutions in all projects ranging from new business launches to support of current business processes.

- Work closely with the internal/external resources responsible for performing any tasks required as related to critical software and/or process alterations such as solution design, software and process testing, systems configuration, process and information flow documentation maintenance, performing of UATs, coordination of information distribution to site, etc.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

- Understand business needs and functional requirements, current/future state processes and the development/accumulation of project tasks to deliver the future state

- Develop and oversee system integration testing

- Leads the short-term and long term project planning effort to include scope definition and outlining deliverables and delivery dates. Creates a viable work structure, defines project milestones, accumulates project cost/benefit estimates and ensures on time completion.

- Develops or approves an effective plan for controlling scope, schedule and cost baseline.

- Develops or approves a plan for communicating project information to the team and stakeholders.

- Leads the definition of project risks and required mitigation.

- Manage a team in a matrix organization where subject matter experts participate in requirement definition, design, and test & training phases. Guide and direct the overall success of projects through staff.

- Shares responsibility with the project leadership team for fostering a good working environment. Ensures teams are staffed, duties and responsibilities are understood, and an inclusive environment is maintained.

- Ensure application security, audit, and process compliance for systems in managed project, support, and enhancements.

Desired Candidate Profile
Education:

(UG - B.Tech/B.E. - Computers, Electronics/Telecommunication) AND (PG - M.Tech - Computers) AND ( Doctorate - Doctorate Not Required)

Work Experience:

- Experience on 4-5 WMS implementations in complex environments including receiving, order picking, shipping, inventory management, dock scheduling, labor management etc.

- Experience on WMS implementation where control of material handling equipment in required - Stacker Crane, Conveyor System, Sorter Systems, Pick to Light and PLC - Minimum 2 Project with technical support 2 years

- Experience on control of material handling equipment RF Terminals, ID Reader, ID Scanner - Minimum 2 Project with technical support 2 years

- Experience on integration with ERP such as SAP - Minimum 1 Project with technical support 1 year

Technical Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

- Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with exposure to complex landscape

- Proven experience in architecting solutions and leading from design through to development, testing, and implementation

- Experience of working in the Microsoft .Net framework and front end development using VB/C++/C

- Experience of working with databases including Oracle

- Experience of working in the Windows Server environment

- Exposure to interfacing with SAP and other legacy solutions using message formats like SAP iDocs and middleware like IBM MQ Series

Education Requirements:

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Computer Science / IT/Electronics) required

- Masters in Engineering (Computer Science) preferred

- Any relevant industry specific Certifications/Memberships (desirable)
