VP - IBD is part of the India Senior Management Team and reports to the Managing Director. Direct reports to this position are 4. This position also actively interacts with other functional leadership including: Operations, Finance, HR, IT, Supply Chain team, Innovation & New Business Development
Experience Essential:
- BE / BTech & MBA with around 15 years in Sales and Marketing in International business or Exports.
Preferred path: Initial few years in a company known for putting its trainees through a hard grind on Sales. A few years in a good FMCG, with some product management experience.
- A few years in manufacturing sector in a B2B environment and should have been accountable for a business and/or profitability.
- Proven track record of having developed profitable business in a competitive and price sensitive business arena and should have established products in number one position in his segment of operations. Should seriously believe in competitive and Innovative Leadership.

Job Profile:
- Plan, organize and lead the International Business Division (IBD) like the CEO of this business.
- Deliver the required growth, profitability through Innovation and new product/market development objectives for the International market.
- Focused penetration of new international markets and position our products as 'Premium'
- Drive Innovation in products, applications and processes, aggressively (new Graphic effects, machining, new application development)
- To make International business, a clear number one in Flexible packaging segment.
Key Challenges:
- Deep market penetration, position our products as Premium in a highly price sensitive and competitive International market, becoming highly commoditized
- Drive high degree of Innovation for the products
- Driving profitable sales growth in International business
- Expand International business, geographically.
- Position the product to be a clear number one in International market
- Further strengthen "customer lock-in" with responsive service and high quality
- Identify and develop new, profitable products that will achieve profitable growth in International markets
- Engage an already passionate team and strengthen to achieve the growth targets.
- Balance responsiveness to customers with the ability to drive strategic growth agendas
Key Result Areas:
- Ensures growth and profit objectives are developed and achieved
- Establishes and executes the business strategy & capital requirements
- Prepare the demand plans and sales forecast
- Ensures the management of current customers and development of future customers so that top and bottom line objectives are met.
- Identify, expand, penetrate market and position our products as a 'Premium' segment in a market becoming highly commoditized.
- Ensure products are in a competitive Leadership position in International market.
- Ensures optimal use of team members.
- Reviews and keeps his team engaged through recruitment, training, development and performance management processes
- Ensures financial controls and disciplines are in place and executed
- Ensures all team activities comply with relevant acts, laws, ethical standards, company policies and procedures.
- Ensures that the company is at the forefront of and drives industry developments and builds effective market intelligence by effective networking
