Role :- India Employment Law Attorney ( Vice President Level)
Location - Gurgaon / Bangalore
A. Core Job Requirements - Ability to supervise and guide the existing employment relation team on variety of issues concerning but not limited employee attrition, and other matters concerning employee claims. Experience in strategizing litigation approach before various labour courts in India. Ability to lead communications and provide update on strategic issues to senior management. Ability to provide expertise to line partners and executives, Human Resources and Operation Group attorneys on labor and employment law matters. The roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
a. Reviewing and responding to the issues raised by employee relations team on a daily basis
b. Reviewing responses to employee queries and providing an adequate response to the employee relations team to be shared with employee
c. Addressing and helping in any legal notices and claims from employee along with concerned employee relations personnel.
d. Attending to court matters concerning employee claims
e. Briefing outside counsel and responsibility for the strategy on court matters
f. Reviewing and addressing queries raised by employee relations team on policies & procedures
g. Working closely with cross functional teams on shared assignments
h. Performance review of the allocated team, mentoring and guidance on performance improvements.
i. Subject matter expertise in employment law and ability to address queries requiring interpretation of labour laws.
j. Prompt responses to assignments and adaptability/flexibility to meet customer needs.
B. Other job requirements
- Ability to work closely with wide range of personnel, including frequent interaction with top-level executives.
- Ability to work with personnel both internally and externally across the world.
- Superior negotiation and litigation skills.
- Ability to influence, strong executive presence
C. Reports to: Head-Legal affairs
D. Location- DELHI NCR - Gurgaon / Bangalore
E. Education- Minimum LLB. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Ability to make good PowerPoint presentations would be an added advantage
F. Industry- A. Preferred- IT & ITES companies, Manufacturing Organisations. Can also look at - good candidates from - multinational companies in India having global presence, Telecom Companies
G. Experience- Minimum of 14 years
