About our Client - Our client is a Leading Investment Bank with a diverse product offering. India has been identified as a key center for them and are now looking to strengthen their team with a VP - IFRS Reporting based out of Delhi NCR.
Job Description - Reporting to the Director - Group Financial & Regulatory Reporting, your key responsibilities include:
- Drafting the financial review commentary of IFRS and embedded value basis results included in the Group's half year and full year published results.
- Understanding the business performance of the global businesses and asses its impact on the group's key financial metrics, in particular for external reporting purposes, namely Cash generation, IFRS operating profit, Embedded Value operating profit, Sources of earnings, Group Capital requirements and Group's IRR.
- Leading group's implementation of new IFRS standards- IFRS 10,11,12 and 13, that includes understanding the requirements, performing gap analysis between the new requirements and the current practices, formulating plans for implementations of the requirements and providing consultations to the global finance teams to evaluate the process changes.
- Continuously interacting with senior executives at group level and across the group in Asia, the US and the UK, to understand the business performances and assist them in preparation of reports presented to the Group's Board and it various committees.
- Establishing and leading a team of 25 + individual's post transition.
The Successful Candidate - You are a Qualified CA with 10 - 12 years of overall experience within Banking / Big 4. Group reporting experience involving consolidation of various sources for reporting purposes along with IFRS reporting experience is a must. You would have the ability to take initiative, engage effectively with offshore clients and excellent people management skills. Prior experience in managing large teams is also a must.
