Our Client is looking to recruit a VP HR (India) to drive the business forward through its next growth phase and put into place global best practices within the region
Job Description - Reporting to the Head HR, India, your primary responsibilities will be:
- You must develop and implement an annual agenda for HR strategy in line with the medium and short term business plan of the company. Ensure HR plans support the needs of the business but are also flexible enough to cope with changes in the organization
- You must direct a process of organizational development that primarily addresses succession planning throughout the company. Coordinate activities across division lines and evaluate plans and make recommendations to senior management
- You must select and coordinate use of Human Resources consultants, insurance carriers, pension administrators, training specialists, labor counsel, and other outside sources
- You must oversee the company's salary review process, payroll and all Compensation and Benefits issues in consultation with department heads and implement any increases and promotions
- You must ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and legally compliant and fits in with the company's global practise standards
- You must network with your HR peers in other regions to share best practices and implement locally
The Successful Candidate - You must have at least 10-12 years of relevant work experience preferably in the Healthcare/Pharma sector in a similar role. An MBA from a tier I institute is mandatory. Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development is preferred. Strong management skills in terms of principles and people with experience working with more than two divisions is desired. Can quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships with CEO, BU Heads and department managers. Previously influenced senior managers, built strong commercial relationships and driven an HR strategy .You must have good Commercial acumen - has a good overall understanding of company finances and uses this information to push back and support managers in resource and succession planning. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across levels and projects in a global environment.
