Head IT Infrastructure - Vice President (BPO/ITES)

The Head of IT Infrastructure is accountable for development and implementation of comprehensive Technology/IT Infrastructure Strategies aligned and integrated with short/medium/long term business objectives of the organization.

He is accountable for planning and delivering small and large IT Infrastructure projects with low to high complexity, to the timescales and budget agreed in the technology plan of the organization.

The role encompasses coverage following verticals -

Data Center (incl Hardware, OS, Dbetc)

Network & Telephony

End User Computing devices and applications

Key Responsibilities- Technical Delivery:

- Ensure Designing / Solutioning and Implementation of world class IT Infrastructure

- Data Center, WAN, LAN and communications systems and related infrastructure along with partners

Contract Management and SLA Management of various vendors

- Define and roll-out of the IT Policies and Processes related to IT Infrastructure and End User Computing Devices

- Manage the security vendors /contracts for development and implementation of security policies, protocols, plans, and procedures.

- Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive systems to monitor and enforce the company's security policies, procedures and guidelines. Work with information security team, internal auditors and outside consultants to conduct thorough- and independent- physical and information security audits throughout the company.

- Operations and Maintenance of IT Infrastructure and ensure High Up-time / Availability

IT Infra and Security Projects Management

- IT Assets Management

- Define, Implement and manage the End User Support framework and drive IT support service desk.

Technical support and guidance to the team for infra related issues designing, internal auditors, maintenance, assets management, sla management

Stakeholder Management & Change Management:

- Engaging stakeholders to ensure that expectations are managed and that the aims of the programme or project continue to be aligned with business needs and strategies as they evolve.

- Defining, documenting and safely executing infrastructure projects, actively driving all phases of the project as per Project Delivery Framework and delivering to agreed timescale and budget.

- Estimating project costs, timescales and resource requirements in relation to agreed terms of reference.

Key performance metrics:

- Ensure that the IT infrastructure Operations function delivers the required productivity, cost, service and risk results, and interface with customers/internal departments.

- Apply appropiate metrics to monitor performance and measure key delivery parameters for vendors

- Accountable for the successful delivery of the various portfolios within the Change area;

Embed benefits management as best practice the likely and anticipated benefits of current change activity and the likely impact of potential scenarios;

- To lead/take responsibility during crisis.

- Ability to adapt/flexibility required in this job to handle multiple responsibilities as and when there is a need.

- To cope up with the growing Business Demand and must be flexible enough to work across groups.

Must come forward proactively to manage and lead the way.

- Assign responsibilities, provide direction, leadership, and coaching, removes barriers as needed to enable direct reports to execute their roles and achieve objectives and goals.

Qualification, Experience & skill sets

1. Should have Minimum 15 Plus years of experience in IT infrastructure related functions in leading IT/ITES Organizations.

2. Should possess knowledge of IT security design and implementation of a medium and large sized organizations.

3. Must demonstrate strong understanding of PCI, ISO 2700, SSAE16 standards etc. and should have exposure in Audit and assessment processes

4. Understanding of Network protocols and concepts such as TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, IPSec, MPLS, P2P, layer Switching, DNS, LDAP, NTP, Firewall, IDS/IPS, Proxy, VPN, SSL VPN, SPAM, AV patch updates, Application and IT Network Security.

5. Mandatory understanding of Windows Server and Linux and other Open source platforms.

6. Mandatory understanding of Network implementation and network associated technologies.
