Company : Leading Financial Services Firm

Location : Mumbai

Role & Responsibilities :

Operational :

- Oversee and ensure full audit planning with external parties (client & auditor) and internal teams in local and partner sites takes place for each audit & interim cycle

- Oversee detailed & quality review of financial statements in line with GAAP requirements and client specifics for the team

- Primary escalation point contact for audit, client & regulatory bodies

- SME and key contact for partner sites/locations assisting in end to end processes and planning

- Ensure completeness of analytical review of year on year movements within the financial statements & focus on consistency, standardization and continuous improvement across all hedge clients

- Keep to date and interpret changes to relevant GAAPs and regulatory changes and assess impacts on financial statements & roll out training to team in local and partner sites

- Manage team projects & continuous improvement initiatives in local and at EMEA/Global level for financial reporting

- Run team meetings and problem solving/idea generation sessions

Control / Risk :

- Escalation and resolution of issues in a timely manner, liaising with internal teams to manage and control audit findings periodically

- Ensure checklists and review procedures are followed in financial statement preparation and review by team and all internal audit reviews are clean

- Understand product offerings and SLA requirements, escalating any concerns from a risk perspective and ensuring all parties understand detail around financial reporting product

Client / Service delivery :

- Understand all deliverables and client SLA requirements

- Act as escalation point in relation to planning, financial statement commentary and other client queries

- Attend and present at client service reviews, due diligence visits & board meetings

- Monitor performance against guidelines set out in relevant scorecards & client KPIs

- Initiate, develop and maintain effective working relationships with key contacts both client and internal

Your Background :

- You will have 8+ years experience in a Financial Reporting or Audit environment in the Funds industry

- You will have a professional accounting qualification or similar

- You will have experience in managing people, completion of performance reviews and setting objectives

- You will be able to demonstrate strong client management skills and ability to build key relationships both internal and external

- You will have very strong attention to detail in review of documents and analytical review capabilities in relation to financial statement numbers & reporting

- You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of all primary GAAPS - Irish/UK, IFRS, US GAAP
