About our Client - Our client is a leading global bank with its operations in more than 40 countries. They are looking for a seasoned finance professional to join them as a VP in their team in India as a part of their continuous expansion globally.

Job Description - Reporting to the Head - Financial Reporting, you shall be responsible for:

- Reviewing of monthly IFRS financial statements for the bank branches and subsidiaries within the Asia Pacific region, including review of disclosures schedules provided to Group on a quarterly basis

- Ensuring compliance of disclosures and accounting treatments with IFRS and other Group reporting requirements

- Reviewing schedules prepared for Head Office regulatory reporting (eg FSA, BOE requirements)

- Reviewing new products implementations for APAC, highlighting issues from a Group reporting perspective

- Instill a strong controls framework in the team/department

- Challenging, reviewing and resolving issues identified in the account ownership and intercompany matching processes.

- Understanding and explaining significant movements in the country's balance sheet and P&L to Management, CFOs, Group Chief Accountants and Group Finance

- Introducing process improvements and controls around the reporting processes

The Successful Candidate - You are a Qualified Chartered Accountant (Batches 2003 / '04 / '05) with experience in accounting and statutory reporting from a financial services setup. Good working knowledge of IFRS / USGAAP / IGAAP and strong interpersonal and team-working skills and the ability to communicate at all levels are a must. Experience working in a large complex multi-national with cross-border billing arrangements will be an advantage.
