Overall Job Purpose
This role is to join the CIB (Corporate & Investment Banking) India team, focusing executing the location strategy for the business in partnership with BANK (Bank Shared Services) India.
Execution of the location strategy will evolve as we initiate the CIB Pilot and subsequent migrations across Product Control, Financial Control and Financial Decision Support. It can broadly be categorized into the following:
Current State – Work with Business Head to ensure initial setup of the CIB function is fit for purpose, and scalable for future migrations.
Migration – Work with sender locations & Bank to ensure all requirements for seamless migration of roles from sender to receiver locations are planned and executed efficiently. Promoting and implementing the CIB culture of ‘one team’; empowerment; challenge
Future State – Responsible for ensuring a stable platform leveraging synergies across all CIB & BANK functions. Build on the Continuous Improvement Programme. Responsible for the offshore location to be an extension of onshore with respect to people, technology and culture.
Key Accountabilities
- Execution on behalf of Business Head, sounding board, trusted advisor
- Assist Business Head in the strategic plan
- Accountable for Regulation, Governance & Control
- Accountability for Management Information
- Accountable for identification of job specifications and coordination of hiring, including graduate rounds
- Accountable for relationship management & coordination with global for staffing and operations
- Communications: internal/external, website, coordination with global counterparts
- Accountable for projects under Business Head's responsibility
Qualifications /Education:
University degree or equivalent, and/or relevant industry experience
Application Skills (Highly Desirable):
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Advanced Excel skills, proficient in designing innovative solutions to drive efficiencies and sophisticated report presentation skills
Knowledge and Experience:
- 12+ years of relevant experience in Investment Banking or equivalent
- Investment Banking Transition experience desirable.
- A confident and articulate self-starter with the ability to cope with the demands of working to tight deadlines.
- Keen analytical skills and the ability to challenge current processes and develop effective alternate solutions.
- A team player with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm.
- Comfortable with the demands of working in a pressured environment.
- Strong interpersonally and have the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Demonstrable examples on coaching and performance management
