VP - Finance & Accounts - CA & CS

Details of the Position

The position of VP (Accounts and Finance) is an exceptional opportunity for Accounts and Finance professionals in a dynamic and growing organization. The candidate will be responsible for overall supervision, management and processes of the entire Finance and Accounts department including and up to Balance Sheet finalization stage and MIS for the Board of Directors.

Location - The position of the Candidate will be for Mumbai HO (Thane, Mumbai)

Future growth – The function will be a critical strategic function and will allow right candidate to move up to the CFO level in a few years based on performance.

Key requirement in brief -

a) Thorough knowledge of Accounting Standards & taxation with hands on experience of BS sheet finalization including handling of internal and statutory audit and reporting

b) Hands on experience with Treasury management function

c) High Level Analytic skills is a must

d) Dynamic and aggressive personality with ability of team handling and high level coordination skill within organization is a must; candidate must also have above average negotiation skills and excellent communication and presentation skills.

e) The candidate must be ready and willing to work at all levels as the need be

Detailed KRA will include

This position will report to senior management and will be responsible for

a) Monthly BS with all relevant schedules

b) MIS to the Board as per requirement

c) Overall supervision of accounts and finance function of the company including control and supervision of receivables and payables

d) Be in charge of compliance with respect to AS, Taxation matters and other compliance under Companies Act

e) Play an active role in Asset Funding activities of the company in close co-ordination with the bankers and financiers of the company including liaison activities and relationship management

f) Be in charge of budgetary function and in charge of ensuring budget vs actual compliance along with variance reporting and control

g) Participate in critical strategic decisions of the company

Qualifications

a) Educational – CA & CS qualification MUST; must have done articleship from well reputed and recognized firms preceded by solid academics throughout from well reputed colleges and schools

b) Work experience – 5 to 10 years of total work experience of which at least 3 years should be in control and supervisory roles with respect to the KRA of the job profile as indicated above. Candidate must have demonstrated levels of expertise with top MNC or top Indian corporate houses

c) Personal attributes - Confident and high level interpersonal skills including the ability to persuade or influence others to accept a point of view, to adopt a specific agenda or to take a course of action; ability to be rational, objective and unbiased when making decisions or taking action; and ability to be open, flexible and creative with regards to time management and scheduling challenges. Must be ethical in dealings.

d) Family background – Must be from well-educated and well-established family

e) Other requirement – Must be highly aggressive and dynamic professional.
