VP - Electronic Hardware Architect Head - Design

We are an advanced robotics start-up headquartered in Mumbai. The company was founded in January 2015, by three IIT Bombay post-graduates, on the pillars of robotics, AI and IOT.

We are the makers of the Miko series of robots designed to engage, educate and entertain kids. Our latest offering, Miko 2, Miko 3, Miko 4 is an advanced personal robot for kids, powered by cutting-edge features such as a proprietary emotional intelligence machine, Tele connect, self-initiated Conversational abilities, obstacle & edge sensing and more.

Good in Electronic Knowledge/Product Design/Product Manufacture/Product Development/Product Management/Sourcing/Product Marketing and Quality Assurance/Launching.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead technical roadmap development for company products; Product level work.

- Work closely with Product marketing to deliver the fast prototype to valid the meaningful innovation in field;

- Modularize existing products electronics design;

- Conduct design review for electronics engineering part;

- Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and qualify products to meet specification, reliability and regulatory;

- Responsible for the New-Development and enhancement of HW Concepts;

- HW-Architecture;

- Description of Interfaces;

- Dimensioning of electronic circuits;

- Tolerance and Lifetime Calculations;

- Incorporation and Test of electronic circuits;

- Definition of Test Procedures;

- Responsible for the implementation of external and internal requirements in our HW- System;

- Responsible for evaluations of Norms, Standards and Customer Requirements;

- Secure Product Robustness, apply standards;

- Drive Innovations.

REQUIRED SKILLS :

- Extensive knowledge of IOT architectures;

- Should know how to code MCU and how cloud system works;

- Highly developed hardware design skills;

- Experience in managing direct subordinates, able to hire, coach and develop AD (advance develop) teams;

- Should have a creative and curiosity way of working leading to continuous improvements;

- Must be open minded and willing to accept new challenges;

- Strong written and oral communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Education: Bachelor / Master in Electronics Engineering

- Experience: 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.
