Process Overview

Prime Broking Middle Office, as part of CIB Operations, provides support to Prime broking clients who invest in a wide range of securities across the globe. It also provides the best-in-class operational processing capabilities across all asset classes.

The team has responsibilities to support day to day operations pertaining to trade processing for trades received from global and domestic clients and Prematching of trades with various counterparties on S-1.

We are specifically seeking people who have knowledge in Prime Broking operations with at least 3-5 years experience.

Role and Responsibilities :-

- Accuracy in processing in line with SOPs with no errors.

- Continuously participate in projects involving; new product rollout, new system implementation, process improvements, etc

- Exhibit effective communication and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders, client facing and operations team.

- Working with various internal teams such as client facing, settlements, to process transactions and resolve any exceptions in a timely manner for settlement.

- Work with executing brokers and identify areas of improvement to enable flawless pre-matching experience.

- Work as part of the global team performing follow the sun hand offs to ensure a smooth global coverage for global clients.

- Ensure all day to day queries dealt with within required SLAs and escalate issues to the management.

- High level of client service focus.

- Provide detailed business control metrics to management on a daily basis

- Ensure all controls and checks are completed on End of Day

- Provide operations subject matter expertise and value added services for clients where required.

- People management and ability to drive large program initiatives.

Skill sets required

- Proven management record

- Strong product knowledge; thorough understanding of the end to end transaction cycle.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Individual should have been in a role managing Prime Broking business.

- Ability to drive results through a "hands-on" approach

- Ability to work in a high pressure environment with time critical deliveries

- Control mindset to identify process control gaps, prioritize & mitigate operational risk

- Excellent time management skill and ability to prioritize work effectively

- Proactive in problem solving and developing solutions.

- Ability to respond to a changing environment.

- Be innovative and suggest system improvement capabilities.

- Ability to multi task, ensuring the trades are booked correctly, breaks are resolved, trades are pre-matched with minimum fails on value date and MIS being sent to managers on deadlines.

- Good understanding of downstream impact of actions undertaken, particularly the requirement for strong and timely controls throughout the life cycle of the trade

Min Required Qualifications / Experience

- Graduate with 8-10 years of experience in an investment banking environment, preferably in Middle Office / Trade Support

- Degree holder in Finance or other related disciplines (preferable)

- Strong proficiency with PC software.

Shift Timings

- WHEM [6 pm IST to 5am IST] - supporting mainly US region and need to work this time zone.

Travel

- Flexibility for travel to US for period of 2-3 months within short notice
