Roles & Responsibilities:
Projects and analysis
- Identify key operational challenges and formulate initiates to minimize them, garners support from relevant stakeholders and tracks & monitor progress.
- Act as project manager for identified strategic initiatives ensuring follow-through and sustaining momentum needed to drive initiatives to completion.
- Direct and manage aspects of Operations Analytics and also own understanding and assessment of operational risks and controls
- Delivering measurable improvements as a direct result of project deliverables and implementation on the Data and MI programme of work. This will include process re-engineering and process management within Retail Banking Wealth Management Credit Risk
- Partner with business leaders including local HR/ Business Management colleagues to sometimes drive people strategies along with appropriate organizational effectiveness interventions when required.
- Provide ongoing analysis and decision support to improve productivity and governance.
Customers / Stakeholders
- Strong project management and delivery focus
- Demonstrated ability to deal with highly confidential information and act as a liaison between analytics leadership team and other constituencies, both internal and external.
- Role requires regular interaction and working with senior members and Business Side and across regions.
Leadership & Teamwork
- While the role will not have any direct reports, he/she must exhibit the skills to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others, the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization
Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Strengthen risk management by producing high quality credit risk economic capital methodology, analysis and reporting. Capable of informing and driving business decision making.
- Liaising with colleagues to analyse and interpret emerging risk events, establishing underlying root causes and effective future mitigation.
- Fostering a risk aware culture by the routine embedding of risk considerations into all analysis and reporting.
Skills Required:
- Master's Degree.
- Minimum experience of 10+ years demonstrating strong trouble shooting and creative solution skills.
- Project management background.
- Global mindset, ability to manage and collaborate across a broad and diverse global team
- Excellent communication skills and project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
- Good organizational, analytical, problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify trends/issues and follow-up/escalate as appropriate
- Personal impact/ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at senior levels in the organization
- Experience in banking/financial services industry preferred
Note: Consulting experience with analytics knowledge and project management skills is required. BFS industry is an add on.
