VP (Projects & Analytics) - Business Analysis & Management Information for an MNC Bank in Bangalore.

Basic Accountability Statement

- To help the Analytics team in its mission to be a data driven organization by providing Management teams across with management information and business and financial analysis to help run the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

To lead a team that is responsible for production of MI that supports the Analytics team and analyses the data to provide business insight. Team responsibilities include:

- Understanding business requirements and designing / producing standard MI

- Conducting ad hoc data analysis to throw light on specific business problems or identify business opportunities and threats

- Using the data to provide analysis and insight to Business Managers for decision making

- Presentations to clients including Senior Management

Personal responsibilities and challenges will include:

- Leading the team

- Translating business problems to data / analytical ones for analysts to resolve and translating data findings to actionable business insight

- Developing a business orientation and providing business context to the team

- Managing relationship with clients

Qualifications

- MBA from a premier Business School preferably with a Marketing or Finance back ground

- 12 to 16 years experience in the Banking or Financial Services Industry, ideally in a similar role or as a strong user of data particularly into Analytics in a sales or marketing context

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with sufficient attention to detail

- Comfortable with technology and ability to learn /understand data concepts, SAS / XL etc.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent people skills
