The Business Analyst will be responsible for user support in the area of Counter Party Credit Risk area, CVA explains. Secondary focus areas will be on Basel 2,3 related regulatory requirements in this area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand, analyze and explain counterparty mark-to-future exposures on derivative books to regional users
- Dwell deep into the ACE exposure calculation methodologies and be able to verify, cross check the exposure profiles generated by the systems
- Where feasible develop excel prototypes to generate exposure profiles for basic products
- Ability to trace the changes in day to day exposures to changes in markets, books and or agreements
- Do cursory checks on exposure numbers before start of business in the regions and provide ad hoc reports as may be needed
- Work closely with developers to improve/refactor code base and ensure agreed changes are manifested correctly by looking analyzing post release exposure numbers
- Conduct meeting with clients and key stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze, finalize and receive formal sign-off's from approvers
- Translate requirements into Business Requirement Document [BRD], Functional Requirement Document [FRD] and/or Minor Development Document [MDD]
- Facilitate and drive project meetings with both business and technology teams
- Develop and review test scripts with business users as well as technology team
- Execute test scripts for System Integration Test (SIT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT)
- Co-ordinate and/or conduct the Production Acceptance Testing (PAT) with the business users
- Creates flow diagrams, structure charts, and other types of system or process representations
- Manage changes to requirements and baseline through a change control process
- Utilizes standard processes, design and testing tools throughout project development life cycle
- Work closely with the operational functional teams, operations management and personnel, and various technology teams to facilitate a common understanding of requirements and priorities across all areas
- Perform business and data analysis in development of requirements and in ongoing support of production applications
Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience:
- Good understanding of derivative products and their exposure profiles
- Hands on experience in the areas of Monte carlo simulation, pricing, aggregation, CVA and related areas
- High degree of familiarity with regulatory guidelines under Basel 2 and Basel 3
- Should be well versed with implication/changes required for Basel 3 compliance for large banks
- Fimiliarity with multiple asset classes - FI,FX,Credit,EQ, Commodities
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of Basel II and/or 3 regulations
- In-depth understanding of derivative financial products across multiple asset classes
- Exposure to Use cases, QA and UAT of projects
- Deep working experience of flow charting, Visio, MS-Office applications, Excel, VBA
- Advanced SQL knowledge expected
Qualifications:
- 6-7+ years of Business Analysis experience
- In Risk with 2-4 years of exp in CP credit risk
- FRM/CFA is preferred. MBA, B.Tech, B.Com with finance background can also appy. Degree in financial mathematics, quantitative finance is ideal
- Experience in Investment banking/capital markets is a must
