Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business.
Business Unit Overview:
Clearing Income and Expense - Brokerage is responsible for generating, tracking and accepting receipt of funds for incoming brokerage where clients have executed here but given up the trade to clear at another broker (desk brokerage). Further it is also responsible for tracking, validation and payment of outgoing brokerage for client and house activity (includes pit & desk brokerage) where a trade has been executed externally and given in to GS to clear
Primary Responsibilities:
Incumbent’s responsibilities would include the following but are not limited to the below:
- Manage Clearing Income and Expense Brokerage team in Bangalore.
- Consistently and regularly look for opportunities to mitigate the Risks & improve the Risk Profile of the function.
- Operations Planning aimed at optimal utilization of available .
- Create & maintain an effective MIS framework to enable objectively monitoring & governance of the function.
- Actively work with the wider team and management to effectively & efficiently manage process & business targets.
- Communicate and partner across regions & manage regional stakeholder’s expectations.
- Establish robust Training & Development practices for new hires and the existing team members.
- The role may not involve direct client interactions but is a key component of superior client service delivery; hence it requires a good understanding of clients business & priorities.
- Actively participate & Lead Projects globally and regionally.
- Collaborate with other business units to support client business and resolve issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- Post qualification experience of minimum 7 years in banking or similar environment/ industry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, tools and utilities for business use.
Preferred Skills:
- Supervisory experience in a Global Banking or Financial Services institution
- Brokerage/Billing/Accounts Payable/ Management experience
- Graduate or Post Graduate qualifications in financial discipline
- Strong conceptual understanding, problem solving and analytical skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to operate in matrix structure and manage multiple stakeholders
