About Our Client

Our client is a financial services company and offers various financial products in commercial and consumer lending. They are looking for a senior Tax professional to head their business in India.

Job Description

Reporting into CFO for the business, you would be owning all processes linked to tax accounting, reporting and compliance. Leading compliance of indirect and direct tax laws would be essential part of this role. Other responsibilities would include:

- Track and monitor compliance of filing requirements for Income Tax, VAT, Service tax Drive synergy on tax and standardize related processes across business in India

- Ensure that appropriate Internal Controls in compliance with local statutory laws and US GAAP.

- Drive training on Transfer Pricing, Audits and Assessments with Corporate taxes.

- Lead transition of the tax function in view of proposed changes in law (Goods & Services Tax, GST, IFRS etc)

- Ability to work in a cross-functional and matrixed environment and lead a team across businesses.

The Successful Applicant

- The Successful Candidate would be a Chartered accountant or Cost Accountant with 8-10 years of work experience within Finance - TAX. Exposure to Indirect taxes is a must. Prior team handling experience is a must.
