VP/AVP - Risk Identification - Retail Banking Wealth Management

Role Description:

The role holder is required to provide independent second line of defense oversight of the Global Credit Control Services. Enhanced monitoring of sites outside the regular onsite Credit Review. Continuous Monitoring would entail develop and deliver on an annual plan which includes review schedule, identification of risk areas,

Identification of trends and emerging risks including possible need for strategy review.

Key Resposibilities:

- Development of new global Risk Identification Management Information suite.

- Production of a monthly pack which to be distributed to the RBWM Global Risk team

- Support monthly timely production of Global RBWM RMM and Global GRMM packs, working closely with the GAC teams to deliver insightful commentary.

- Build strong working relationships with Regional and Country risk teams, GAC, GSC, control functions and Business teams.

- Required to support the Global Head of CRRI and other senior members of the Global RBWM Risk team to manage a wide range of risks impacting the Group.

- Will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.

- Will adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls.

Requirements:

- Accountancy or similar numerical degree qualification

- Strong understanding of the Credit Risk Management cycle

- SAS knowledge and experience of querying and manipulating data

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Experience of problem solving
