This role is with one of our esteemed Banking client in Mumbai.

We are ideally looking at person with strong understanding towards KYC Regulatory guidelines, financial regulatory environment and AML risk implications. understanding of KYC, financial regulatory environment and AML risk implications.

Responsibilities:

Interpret regulatory/policy changes and communicate their implications to the team. Ability to establish action points arising out of the same and incorporate the impact within laid down procedures.

Keeping abreast of developments within the financial regulatory environment and proactively educate the team on the same.

Work in tandem with the Quality Control team to ensure overall high quality profiles emanating from the team and address quality issues to meet the established performance standards.

Ensure implementation and adherence to audit and compliance requirements and proactively highlight potential issues to the management.

Timely and accurate reporting of SME / Compliance related Management Information

Take ownership of training the KYCS staff (both new hires & ongoing training), ensure effective knowledge transfer by collaborating with the L&D function

To provide support and coaching to the KYCS Teams on the interpretation of policy guidance

Identifying procedural/policy related gaps and initiate streamlining activities to support the business achieve it's target

Stakeholder Management and working collaboratively with Policy, Compliance and production to achieve desired KYC results and targets

Supporting KYCS Team in updating KYCS profiles in accordance with the Group Policy

Supporting KYCS Analysts in producing timely, high quality KYCS profiles and address quality issues

To adhere to all audit requirements including but not limited to Declaration of Secrecy / Data Protection Act / Health Safety and Security / Clear Desk Policy / Process Specific Audit requirements / Compliance Requirements

Understand and comply with internal control standards with no breaches of regulatory requirements complete

Requirements:

Excellent understanding of KYC, financial regulatory environment and AML risk implications.

Previous KYC experience

Thorough understanding of legal structures of various client types: financial institutions, corporate, quoted companies, private companies, funds, SPV's etc .

Proven skill sets in analysing implications of mergers and acquisitions on legal identities & ownership structures of Corporate, FIs & Funds .

Sound knowledge of financial regulatory requirements .

Ability to interpret complex changes in regulatory guidelines and assess impact .

Excellent communication skills.

Team player and ability to manage people and performance.

Ability to handle crisis situations and take appropriate / timely decisions .

Ability to work well under pressure with high degree of accuracy .

Good understanding of MS office and proven skills on banking platforms

Self-driven .

Familiarity with US PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act and other AML regulatory framework

Minimum 4-5 years KYCS Analyst experience with a financial institution or equivalent detailed process,
