Role Description
- The Sr Loans Business Analyst / Project Manager will lead CTA projects from initiation, execution to implementation. He/she will provide expertise on Misys Loan IQ functionality to investigate various business challenges and new requirements. The Loans Business Solutions group consists of a Program Manager, SMEs and Business Analysts who interact closely with the business to define business requirements and functional solutions and work with the Loans Application Development group to implement the defined solutions.
The Sr Loans Business Analyst / Project Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Capture detailed business requirements in a Business Requirements Document, including considerations to legal, audit, compliance, and the current regulatory environment.
- Facilitate meetings involving multiple participants and external participants ie vendor/regulatory agencies to solicit/clarify complex requirements.
- Develop the process flow diagrams and use cases that capture changes required for the future state of the system that satisfies the documented functional requirements.
- Create a test strategy plan and a comprehensive set of test cases to be used for regression testing existing functionality as well as new functionality in Loan IQ.
- Lead system integration testing, UAT and training of Users on the new/modified system.
- Manage progress of tasks and deliverables throughout the project. This includes maintaining project plan and project artifacts.
- Conduct project status meetings, distribute status reports to project sponsors/stakeholders, and manage expectations.
- Track project issues, risks, dependencies and develop mitigation strategies.
The Sr Loans Business Analyst / Project Manager will have the following experience and qualifications:
- At least 2 years solid experience in Loan IQ as a BA or Sr Loan Ops.
- Self motivated, detailed oriented, able to multi-task and think ‘out of the box’.
- Expert knowledge of Syndicated Loans business, including Operations, Deal Structure, Facility types, Loan types, Circles and various functions that support Loans.
- Able to communicate effectively with both the business and technology stakeholders, as well as with senior management (directors and managing directors).
- Experience in leading large and complex projects in a fast-paced financial technology group.
- Experience in conducting training sessions, creating training documentation, and act as the lead person in KT of Loan Operations on new/modified functionality after project Go Live.
- Business Analysis or Project Management Certification a plus
