VP - Analytics - Information Mgmt - Bank

VP Analytics - Information Management (Data Management & Reporting) for an MNC Bank in Bangalore.

This role within the Information Management job family is primarily for supporting Data Management & reporting functions for Card and Retail Services, Consumer Mortgage Lending Canada. This role will be in a team that is expected to design and develop Information management solutions which will help business drive informed decisions.

- The incumbent would primarily contribute in information management deliverables that involve developing data marts and data warehouses using SAS and will also support other analytical needs of the business and building Reporting framework and end user information delivery applications using technologies like SAS and Actuate and will also support other analytical needs of the business.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Responsible for managing multiple stakeholders.

- Meet with the end-users or clients of the business unit to understand their data needs, identify the data
sources(database or mainframe source files) and recommend solutions to incorporate their requirements

- Develop simple to moderately complex sas programs to process data from various sources, perform required ETL and create data marts

- Solve technically complex programming projects in assigned area. Implement process efficiencies in database design and coding methodologies for analysts across the Business unit

- Ensure the accuracy and availability of all databases and data marts. Interface with Technology Services to
research complex data quality and systems processing issues to ensure resolution

- Identify and develop new data sources for use throughout the organization. Develop data sources, stage for
immediate use, design a process for integration into overall infrastructure and ensure completion

- Develop train and support CIM Analysts as required. Review projects to ensure correctness, accuracy and
conformance to department standards. Perform other related duties as assigned

- People management experience required

- Responsible for end-to-end project management and hands on delivery when required. Ensure productivity of
the team is in line with the stated SLAs

- Work with multiple customers/functions on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver in a timely, efficient and effective manner.

- Manage relationship with key stakeholders in the Business (Onshore and Offshore) to build confidence in
team and enable stakeholders investment in development of the team.

Skills & Qualifications :

- 4 year Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from reputed university. Concentration on Computers, Science or other fields such as engineering

- 10+ years of proven data management/information management analytics experience or equivalent.

- Knowledge and understanding of financial services preferred

- Knowledge of Credit Cards, related Terms and Terminology essential

- Person should be a process expert and should possesses sound sectoral business knowledge

- Strong analytical skills. Knowledge of Data warehousing and ETL concepts

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex
concepts and ideas

- Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills and drive for success

- Knowledge of SAS, RDBMS structures, SQL. Working knowledge of UNIX/mainframes. Desirable knowledge of COBOL

- Knowledge of Project Management practices and tools desirable.
