Voxta - Engineering Lead

Our products help companies reach millions of people, rapidly! Voxta is a speech recognition company in Indian languages, with a focus on voice based marketing services using telephony. We are working with leading FMCG companies and government departments in India, and growing rapidly - and so need an Engineering lead to for development and deployment. We will launch in the UK & US later this year, using English.

We are looking for engineering leads who can manage a small team and do architecture. We have a java based platform, with components in C, node.js and web applications in php. Currently we provide server based solutions using a mix of local and cloud based infra, and mobile applications are on the road-map.

Responsibilities will include managing a small development team, designing new products and new architectures. Prototyping, hands-on development and code quality checking are essential. Deployment experience will be great.

The role is based in Hyderabad, with occasional trips to support client meetings.

Desired Skills and Experience

You will be a curious, delivery focused engineer, and have demonstrated experience in managing teams and architecting / coding scalable platforms. Your communication skills - written and spoken - and logical thinking, will be very strong. You will several years experience, developing world class products. Understanding of real time systems, especially telephony / sip / html5 will be good. Test driven development and agile methodologies would be good. Product development experience is great.

You will be comfortable with java and other languages such as C and node.js. You will have a healthy interest in cutting edge technologies, and an understanding of their limitations. You will have the ability and motivation to grow with the role, as the company grows.
