Vodafone - Manager - Switch

The position is responsible for operation and maintenance of all Switching nodes like MSS, MGW, HLR and STP. The capacity planning, new network node additions, identification/inspection of new MSC Site. New feature / services implementation. Roaming and related aspects and monitoring of core KPIs and business KPIs related to technology.

Responsible for implementing operations strategies in technology/ functional area. Has final short- term management and cost control responsibility for own area. Builds an environment that supports cooperation and cohesiveness among the work team and with other areas within the organization. Responsible for implementing customer satisfaction improvements in own responsibility area.

- To plan for the Switching capacity augmentation as per marketing inputs

- Budget and CAPEX/OPEX planning as per requirement of business and guidelines of corporate

- To plan the switching network architecture for future requirement.

- To ensure the finalization of BOQ and release of PO on time.

- Hands on experience on planning and operation of core network.

- Thorough knowledge on configuration management (CM), fault management (FM), Alarm Management (AM), Security Management and log Management.

- Network Performance and KPI achievement as per the required targets.

- Candidate has intended to work 24/7.

- Handling of emergencies in core network.

- Ensure Roaming and Roaming Solutions are up and running.

- Implementation of all processes as per SOX policy.

- To plan for smooth implementation of software patches & upgrades

- Maintaining all POI utilisation as per the guidelines.

- Has to work in Managed Services operations.

- Cross Functional co-ordination: with other divisions of Technical – RF, BSS, Project and also with other departments – (Sales and Marketing, CS and finance).

- Leading & Guiding a team which handles no. of activities.

- Coordination with NSN and Vodafone central teams.

- Compliance to all regulatory bodies (TRAI, TERM)

- Submission of reports within the timelines to all regulatory bodies.

- Handling of TERM and TRAI audits.

- Compliance to BSNL guidelines on ISUP and SCCP routing.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS

- B.E Electronics and communication with min 8-10 years of experience

- The thorough knowledge of NSN equipment is preferred.

- Good technical fundamentals on signaling, R4 architecture, MNP
