Job Description: Strategy Consultant
Location: New Delhi, India
Contract Type: Consultant
Duration: 12 weeks
Position Summary
The Strategy Consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing healthcare strategy for an upcoming stakeholder consultation platform. The consultant will:
1. Understand key priorities and thematic areas of investments for philanthropies, CSR, family offices, foundations, and Impact investors focused on healthcare in Asia
2. Map major ecosystem actors who have philanthropic or impact investment focus on healthcare in Asia.
3. Develop a strategy to engage and build a health platform to collaborate on the key health priorities for Asia by identification of gaps and opportunity areas in heath and related areas.
4. Develop value proposition and program ideas for engaging members of the platform with a clear rationale to make a difference as an ecosystem enabler .
Areas of Responsibilities
1. End to end project management of the strategy exercise viz building a project plan, regular calls with client POC, coordinating and conducting interview/workshops/secondary research and documenting these insights.
2. Understand the organisation strategy and conduct a SWOT assessment of legacy projects in Health care.
3. Layout the hypothesis after secondary research that maps out the current priority areas of Asian and international funders within the hypothesis areas.
4. Validate the hypothesis during the interviews with strategic stakeholders. Expected interview volume is 20-25.
5. Based on the above process, lay out the first draft of vision/aspiration for the Health Platform and propose the program strategy.
6. Take feedback on the strategy document from the leadership team
7. Support in rollout of the strategy and select set of funders/ strategic partners who can be explored to anchor the platform.
Qualifications
- Advanced Management degree (preferably MBA, PGDM) in health management, public health, business analytics, business management, or other related fields.
Experience, knowledge, and key skills
- At least 12 -15 years of experience in Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations
- Experience to gather, analyse, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data, draw conclusions, and develop strategic recommendations.
- Knowledge and experience of the healthcare space in Asia, including understanding of priority initiatives of the country government and key stakeholders in the health space to enable sharing of insights, trends as appropriate.
- Strong core consulting skills - i.e., analytical, primary and secondary research, presentation, including logical structuring and storyboarding, energetic approach to problem-solving
- Superior knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong Project management experience working with strategy consulting firms.
- Excellent communication skills combined with leadership, good organisation and planning skills.
