Job Purpose- Adopt, develop, deliver and communicate visual concepts and strategies to promote retail brands and products in-store.
- To ensure that the brand aesthetics are in sync with the international feel and look of the stores.
I spend:
- 40% of my time in updating and maintaining VM guidelines, VM calendars.
- 20% of my time for new store launches.
- 20% of my time in vendor coordination and execution.
- 20% of my time in people development.
I know I have done a great job if :
- Created a VM Calendar at the beginning of each season and ensure adherence.
- Ensure budget adherence and control for each store and new store launch.
- Update and maintain VM guidelines and ensure adherence leading 100% customer readiness.
- Vendor co-ordination and timely execution.

BRAND / PARTNER :
- Ensure that the brand aesthetics are not compromised.
- Ensure that windows are in sync with Brand Windows and merchandise drops. Create a VM Calendar at the beginning of each season and ensure adherence.
- Upgrade and value add to existing stores.
- Brand relationship building / management.
- New store launch - design, planning
BUDGET :
- Budget definition for the year by the month for each store.
- Budget Control. Verify and confirm rates for all non - regular props.
- Vendor management and vendor base updating.
- New store launch - budgeting.
What is that I need to do : Administrative
- Ensure weekly VM reports are being sent and feedback being given on time.
- Update and maintain VM guidelines and ensure adherence leading 100% customer readiness.
- Ensure PO process is being followed and expense tracker is being maintained.
People Development:
- Train Store wise VM champs. VM induction to the NEW joins at store level.
- Conduct a quarterly VM refresher training.
- Working closely with individual store managers / directors to understand sales patterns and provide store specific solutions to maximise productivity.
Capabilities :
- Good Aesthetic sense
- Good economic sense with budgetary controls.
- Good energy levels - with ability to be involved in multiple tasks and ability to juggle.
- Good vendor management skills.
- Ability to see the larger picture - ability to zoom in & zoom out.
Experience and Education:
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience of handling VM in multiple store in premium\luxury segment.
- PG in Visual Merchandising course
Salary Range: 7 - 15 LPA
