Position : Regional Head - Business Development (Water) - West
Reporting to : CEO - Water/ Head BD
Location : Mumbai/ Delhi
Job Summary :
- The Regional Head for the Water Business is responsible for generating new business and establishing the Water business for VIL in the region through water, waste water & distribution projects and making it the largest company in the water sector.
- He / She will be responsible for identification of the new business opportunities; tendering process as well as managing client relationship.
- This will also involve coordinating & liaising with the CEO-Water and the Corporate Business Development team in relation to lead conversion & strategic inputs
Job Responsibility :
- Lead and own Business development and customer relationship management activities
- Formulating and Implementing the strategy for the Water business
- Formulate a rolling strategic plan for the Water business, conduct periodic reviews and incorporate necessary changes
- Play an active role in corporate branding and brand protection and multi-disciplinary new marketing initiatives as necessary
- Driving organizational values, promote a performance driven culture and continually build people capabilities
- Drive initiatives to achieve higher technical competence to achieve greater technical scores in bids and proposals submitted
- Identify, conceptualize, plan and deploy business development activities in Water and Waste Water across potential customer segments, product lines and geographies
- Network within industry circles and establish effective working relationships with existing and potential customers
- Differentiate VIL's offerings from competitors and position it against customer's requirements
- Be responsible for an extensive market and economic research and analysis and continue to build strong pipeline
- Collect customer feedback on quality and provide information to the relevant stakeholders thus assisting in the improvement of quality
- Building networks and partnerships to enhance bidding opportunities and bring in new business
- Mitigating risk and ensure compliance to all relevant policies, programs and procedures
- Identify JV/ Partnering opportunities and drive winning M&A
- Actively scout and bid for new tenders released
Education, Experience and Competencies :
- Any Graduate and Post Graduate (MBA) from Top Business Schools
- Should have minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in Infrastructure industry
- Must be able to thrive in entrepreneurial set-up, strong commercial acumen and be result oriented
- Exceptionally good in relationship management, networking and capable of developing others
- Must be an excellent communicator which includes written and oral
- Must have good command on English, Hindi or local language is desirable
- Should have a proven track record of a good team player and must be good organizing and planning skills
- Must be go getter &strong in analytical thinking.
