Position : Head - Proposal Development

Reporting to : Executive Leader

Location : Nagpur or Mumbai

Job Summary :

- Head Proposal Development manages a team of experienced proposal development professionals.

- The position complements the work of Business Development.

- This position adds creative programmatic approach to our Financial analysis, Bidding, Business Contracts and Estimation. The proposal development head contributes to the advance positioning and assumes all bid preparation related functions once the bid is live.

Job Responsibility :

- Oversees Proposal Development staffing plan, including development of organization structure and internal reporting structure, conducts annual performance appraisals, regular individual or team review; and contributes to ongoing high performance team building initiatives.

- Leads and manages internal systems and process of Proposal Development including oversight and supervision of business intelligence gathering and proposal development systems and processes re-invigorates and introduces new systems as needed including new tools and approach

- In collaboration with Business Development, monitors early capture preparation activities, raises concern to appropriate stakeholders

- Participates in critical bid pursuit meetings, including presentation on capture strategy and design validation sessions

- Leads proposal review process (Green, Blue and Red Reviews) and regularly provides updates on internal proposal preparation procedures and ensures compliance

- Drives strategies for e-bids and craves our tender specification proactively and create plan of action.

- This includes conducting meeting with authorities, attend pre-bid meetings, feasibility analysis, external agencies, post bid meeting and etc

- Maintain a check on industry leading practices and drive continuous improvement to drive efficiency and effectiveness in proposal development.

Education, Experience and Competencies :

- Must be a BE/B.tech in Engineering from top college

- Masters degree in Engineering or MBA would be an additional advantage

- Should have minimum 16 years of relevant experience and minimum 3 years of leading a Proposal Development team

- Industry exposure to Infrastructure / EPC Industry would be preferable

- Must be able to thrive in entrepreneurial set-up, strong business& commercial acumen and be result oriented

- Should have eye for details. Must be excellent in reviews, tracking and reporting

- Exceptionally good in relationship management, networking and capable of developing others

- Must be an excellent communicator which includes written and oral

- Should have a proven track record in organizing and planning skills

- Must be go getter &strong in analytical thinking
