Category Manager - FMCG (Non-Food)
Job Purpose :-
- To conduct all buying, planning and promotional activities in line with the strategy to achieve financial Key Performance Measures, maximizing product opportunities that exceed customer expectations.
Source & Develop Product :
- Develop Category strategy to maximize category performance both in terms of topline and bottomline metrics
- Develop and implement a buying brief and sourcing policy in collaboration with the Category head
- Identify, evaluate and pursue new product development under Private Brands portfolio
- Manage relationships with FMCG companies and Private brand vendors
- Liase with internal stakeholders to co-ordinate promotional activities through best use of signage, in store locations, display stands, windows, POS
Merchandise Planning :-
- Prepare Category Promotional Calendar in conjunction with the Marketing team
- Manage Store Adjacency and Layout in conjunction with the Central operations team
Maximize Sales & Profits :-
- Analyze category performance and take actions in order to manage shortfalls, maximize sales and curtail risks in conjunction with Merchandise Mgr
- Achieve KPIs wrt Open to Buy, Mark-downs, margins, gross profit, and stock levels
- Execute seasonal promotional activities and off season mark-down and clearance activities in conjunction with merchandise Mgr
- Implement opportunities from Store visits and competitor performance analysis
- New Store launch & Re-refurbishment : Co-ordinate Activity for new store launches and re- refurbishment's with Merchandise Mgr
