Vice President - Valuation - Independent Price Verification - BFSI

Key responsibilities:

Lead the IPV (Independent Price Verification) processes for Financial instruments for a product area.

- Oversight for analysis of pricing variance drivers, due diligence on the reliability of market data from multiple sources such as Bloomberg, Markit-Totem, brokers and other independent sources

- Control oversight around processes such as population completeness and accuracy, perform high end QA on existing processes

- Develop a strong relationship with product control, risk management, Front Office, models and methodology and Audit teams and have the ability to face off to them

- Own the reporting of results including Trading pack preparation for senior GVG management, Front Office, Risk Management and Finance

- Lead process improvements and automations

- Drive ad-hoc projects / investigation requests from Stakeholders

- Mentor and provide guidance to GVG team members and act as a key escalation point for the Mumbai team

- Own initiatives the enhance wider GVG process and deliverables & broader Finance department

Key skills required:

- Experience with Financial product valuation and/or Risk and Pnl / Product Control experience in relevant product area

- Strong Fair Value financial accounting knowledge and/or financial modeling skills

- Expansive knowledge and experience of market data sources e.g. Totem-MarkiT, Bloomberg or Reuters for key markets preferable

- Strong MS Excel and skills and experience in writing macros a plus

- Strong communication skills and proven presentation ability

- Excellent problem solving instincts and analytical skills

- Multiyear experience of leading & managing and coaching teams/individuals.
