Vice President - Technology - Tech Startup

Our client is a core tech startup based in Bangalore, with a mission to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to the healthcare domain with a one of kind team that comprises of diverse SMEs like Data Scientist, AI Engineers, Doctors & Product Architects

About the role :

- In this role, you will be heading the technology . This would be by leading the program management and engineering execution ensuring that the product vision is realized through excellence in execution. This involves managing and aligning inter-dependencies between functional disciplines (e.g. mechanical, robotics, data science, software), which in turn is a part of a program plan that incorporates inter-dependencies between departments (e.g. engineering, marketing, business development)

= This will be a senior leadership role and will work closely with senior leaders across the organization, during both strategy definition, as well as execution to take our products internationally. The ideal candidate will have exceptional problem-solving skills, outstanding commercial acumen, refined communication skills, and comfortable with the ambiguity of a high-growth company.

What you will do :

- You will be heading the technology organization.

- You will be responsible for the delivery of the ongoing projects, and contribute to defining the future technology roadmap of the company

- You will work with a cross-functional team of leaders of engineering, data science and robotics

- Translate strategy into specific tech initiatives and develop tools to measure and evaluate them

What you'll need :

- At least 15 years of hands-on experience in technology roles, and at least 5 years of experience in senior leadership roles in product companies

- Hands-on understanding of modern software engineering, including distributed computing, containerization, cloud, etc.

- Track record of managing and delivering large scale projects/products

- Working knowledge of data science and computer vision is a must. Prior experience with robotics/IoT/embedded is a plus

- BTech/MTech/Ph.D. in computer science or related fields (EE, ECE, Robotics) from a premier educational institute

Bonus points if

- Prior experience in a startup with a track record of successfully launching a product.
