Vice President - Technology - Equities

Key accountabilities

- Core development and enhancement

- Coordinating with business and vendors on business and technical front

- Communication with global teams, for strategic product development globally

- System design, unit and integration testing

- Support for new software going live

- 3rd line support for the systems under purview

- Senior stakeholder management - work closely with Global and regional heads of Hi-touch, participate and contribute in strategic direction and decisions

- Work closely with other IT teams to promote common design and implementation practices and reuse of technology

- Work closely with the Global BTB teams to gather requirements, design and implement new functionality and features as requested by clients of the system

- Collaborate with global teams to maintain a global offering consistent with regional business requirements and standards

- Implementation of features, bug fixes and enhancements within the sales trading system and the supporting components

- Contribute in optimizing the performance, capacity, monitoring and maintenance model of the current platform

Skill Requirements

- Bachelors / Masters in Computer engineering / technology

- Strong understanding of Object Oriented and Concurrency Design Patterns

- Strong experience of multithreaded programming, data structures

- Experience with distributed systems, network programming, system architecture

- Best-practice development skills, appropriate use of design patterns and test-driven development

- Experience with latency optimization, performance testing, and building test environments

- Experience in leading large development team and Management

- Strong development experience in C++ OR Java technology
