EVC Ventures, an an early-stage venture capital fund that is are looking for incredibly bright, innovative talent who will work with business teams and senior leaders to drive growth and seek improvements in operational processes. EVC Ventures is a venture capital company focused on growth stage global startups. EVC helps entrepreneurs turn ideas into unicorns. EVC is a $50 million fund focused exclusively on early stage investments in Ad Tech, E-Commerce, Gaming, Education, Mobile Apps, Enterprise Software, Wearables and Internet of Things (IoT). EVC also operates EVC Accelerators in the United States and India where it provides capital and mentorship to help entrepreneurs turn ideas into unicorns.
The VP of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for managing the talent acquisition process and applicant tracking system for all of EVC's portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the recruiting team to consistently deliver a high level of performance as an efficient, effective and collaborative partner with the business as a whole and with the various business unit leaders
- Support business leaders to manage headcount planning and set recruiting targets; understand market trends and competitive dynamics, and develop talent acquisition strategies to achieve those targets
- Provide structure and strategy to hiring for experienced positions across all levels and departments within the organization, including managing relationships with outside search firms and developing a program to, in certain cases, identify and source candidates without using third-party search firms
- Provide regular updates to business executives on progress against hiring targets and other key talent acquisition initiatives
- Manage efforts to optimize employment branding, candidate experience, interviewer training, diversity hiring, and internship programs
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, developing and implementing projects to increase recruiting efficiency and effectiveness for the recruiting team and business partners, as well as identifying problems and remedying them in a sustained, system-wide fashion
- Implement best practices for recruiting across all efforts and strategies
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the VP of Talent Acquisition will have:
- A minimum of 9 years recruiting management work experience, prior experience recruiting in IT/ITES companies is highly preferred
- A Bachelor's degree, Master's degrees preferred
- Proven track record of success within a recruitment organization
- Creative sourcing and networking techniques
- Strong business acumen
- Manage competing demands, the ability to prioritize and successfully meet client needs.
- Flexible nature and ability to meet changing demands in a dynamic work environment.
- Work with minimal supervision, and successfully develop relationships with candidates and hiring managers
- Adept at using Internet recruitment tools such as, Monster.com, Naukri.com, LinkedIn, Hirist, IIMjobs and other online search and posting sites
- Superior communication skills both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with applicant tracking databases, as well as Microsoft Office Products
