Job Description :

- To develop and assist in the coordination, promotion and development of sustainability projects and policies.

- To provide supervision and assistance to contractors, partners and volunteer groups carrying out environmental sustainability projects and programs

- To be the main contact for environmental sustainability projects delivered by the organization

- They have over 6 GW of assets in both wind and solar. They develop, build, own and operate renewable energy projects of utility and C&I scale. They have a strong track record of organic and inorganic growth having nearly doubled its operational capacity in each of the last three Fiscal Years.

Description :

ACCOUNTABILITY AND EXTENT OF AUTHORITY :

- Engage, work with and maintain a responsive and professional relationship with a range of relevant businesses, Government agencies, industries, institutes and various groups within the community to ensure the achievement of well-integrated projects.

- Monitor, evaluate, review and report on the performance of projects and plans, and assist in determining the priorities for further project work resource allocation and funding opportunities.

- Be the main contact for environmental sustainability projects.

JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING :

- Provide advice to Management and the community on options relating to achieving environment sustainability outcomes.

- Ability to seek input from, and negotiate with, a wide cross section of interests and develop appropriate actions.

- Identify future funding opportunities.

SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

- Specialist skills in the area of environmental sustainability relevant to Local Government.

- Policy writing skills and an understanding of organization's goals, objectives and relevant policies.

- Highly developed evaluation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in the use of web media, writing newsletters and design of graphical information.

- Knowledge of government/local policies and community, businesses, and schools environmental sustainability issues.

- Positive leadership with the diplomatic skills to ensure high quality projects when dealing with community, businesses, and schools.

MANAGEMENT SKILLS :

- Ability to co-ordinate projects within budget and milestones.

- Coordinate various groups of all ages and abilities to deliver high quality environmental outcomes.

- Good time management skills.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS :

- Ability to engage with community and other stakeholders to deliver innovative and successful environmental sustainability projects.

- Active participation and open communication with company's management, employees from other organizations and the community for current and proposed policy and projects.

- Strong advocacy of environmental standards and ethics for projects.

- Coordinate consultation and media releases for relevant projects.

- Develop and distribute newsletter to relevant stakeholders and interested parties, update relevant web pages using modern mediums of communication such as Facebook etc.

- To act as a leader in the delivery of environmental sustainability projects.

Profile :

- The successful candidate should have an experience of over 15 years in relevant field. Should be experienced in community engagement, policy development, project management and media management.

- The candidate should preferably be from renewables/infra/utilities sector.
