Vice President - Software R&D/Engineering Center - Manufacturing

Client : Global Hi-Tech/ Manufacturing MNC

Reporting To : CTO, based in USA

Location : Bangalore / Hyderabad

Job Summary :

Represent the Global Engineering LT and be responsible for scaling and managing a world-class engineering team and building trusted relationships with other engineering & product leaders across the country.

Candidate Profile :

- A premier Engineer / MBA with about 18+ years of technology experience across India and global locations (preferably the US).

- Strong Executive Presence with the ability to work in a globally matrixed environment with senior Business leaders.

- Demonstrated experience of managing R&D centers, and scaling up Greenfield/ Bluefield operations

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

- Manage multiple teams, led by Engineering Manager

- Scale the engineering organization by focusing on skill and competency growth as well as hiring new team members

- Collaborate effectively with other global engineering teams

- Mentor and guide engineering managers in their careers and their teams' performance and careers

- Implement existing and create new standardized global engineering processes that result in a high performing global engineering organization

- Create, maintain and execute quarterly and annual plans that align with the overall engineering strategy and plans

- Demonstrate strong technical competencies during the architecture and design reviews

- Significant experience in developing and hiring strong technical and people managers

- Ability to optimize the team while adding new team members to it

- Define and manage to KPIs and hold the team accountable to it
