Vice President Sales & Marketing (PVC Chemicals)
- To set revenue goals and company strategy & implement sales plans to accelerate revenue growth and brand recognition.
- To contribute meaningful insight to the sales and marketing functions and play an integral role in the overall development of the organization.
- Develops three years marketing action plan that clearly defines objectives, goals, schedules, and assignments to implement and achieve targeted opportunities. Set overall Sales target and ensure achievement of sales numbers through team and monitor them against quarterly and annual targets. Identifying where improvements can be made and developing sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.
- Strategize for introduction of New Product segment; Business Development for New Products and building new customers in Commodities and Specialty segments.
- To identify and resolve customers issues strategically; Work with internal teams to ensure highest level of customer service; Interface with Technical support team to resolve issues that directly impact customers.
- To carry out a program for market research and analysis including market segments, buying trends and competitor analysis. Monitoring the market and competitor products and activities and providing detailed sales forecasting.
- Framing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products. Will be accountable for pricing decision and for Bottom Line growth.
- Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by reviewing supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
- Creating sales reports and providing feedback to the leadership team at company meetings.
- Ensures Data Analysis through team and oversees verifies reporting of sales and marketing activities, including leads generated and tracking reports, sales orders received, sales by product mix, backlog reports and customer lists and determines appropriate reporting frequency, such as weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Creating a talent pipeline to ensure the right people and leadership skills are in place within the Sales and Marketing function. Ability to nurture the Team and ensure team's development.
- Create SOPs for Sales & Marketing Function.
- Manage company website; Responsible for Company's branding - both locally & globally.
Qualification And Experience:
1. MBA with 18-25 years of experience in a sales leadership position & having experience in PVC/ Chemical Industry & should have experience in Commodities sales.
2. Should be ready to travel Pan India & Globally for business development including plant visits.
3. Techno- Commercial mind-set; Good understanding of Commodity Sales and understanding of Price fluctuations.
4. Strong working knowledge of the company's products, competitive products, and the market.
5. Good analytical skills to identify market trends and opportunities and allocating and prioritizing resources to meet the challenges and achieve the revenue targets.
6. Strategic thinker with proven leadership experience and customer service skills.
7. Candidate should have a proven track record of getting results in sales and driving the team.
8. Negotiation and closing skills. Strong payment recovery skills and ability to drive sales and payment collection targets with proven records.
9. An understanding of international markets along with an understanding of systems and procedures involving imports and exports and forecasting price trends.
10. Have a great ability to think critically, understand customer needs and solve problems.
11. Team player with excellent motivational, organizational and leadership skills.
12. Ability to self-motivate and motivate others.
13. Competent with MS Office. Good to have exposure on Salesforce.com.
