Vice President (Sales & Marketing - Chemicals)
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and P&L target.
- Drive profitability and ensure stakeholders in Board of Directors are engaged and well managed.
- Ensure growth in the top line and bottom line of the organization.
- Review financial and non-financial reports to drive continuous improvement.
- Devise and implement high quality business strategies in alignment with the long term and short-term organization vision.
- Evaluation expansion avenues in terms of incremental product lines, geographies, acquisition opportunities.
- Handling day to day business operations of the company, which includes looking after Sales (Domestic and Exports), Marketing, Operations, Research & Development, Technical Services and QA.
- Maintain knowledge of key market/product landscape to drive business excellence.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the assigned territories and market.
- Selling broad range of commodity and speciality chemicals.
- Setting and implementing market development strategy in your field
- Proactively identifying and developing new sales prospects to provide value- added solutions, focusing efforts at all levels in the customer's organisation.
- Building relationships with new customers and developing sales of new products in line with the company's strategy
- Monitoring chemical raw material's price trend, understand logistics dynamics and stay in close relationship with your suppliers and customers.
- Collecting and analysing market information in order to identify new business opportunities.
- Preparing management reports in your field on weekly bases.
- Manage existing customer relationships and develop new ones.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to customers.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities and progress towards targets.
- Manage the profit centre and ensure profitability of the business.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing strategies.
- Travel to meet potential and em-panelled clients for developing better connect.
- Ability to prepare Annual, 3 year and 5-year business plan.
Qualification And Experience :
1. MBA with 18+ Years of Experience in a Chemical Manufacturing Industry with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
2. Extensive knowledge of Commodity, specialty, and semi-specialty chemicals.
3. Strong experience in domestic & export sales across geographies.
4. You understand the complexities of the export & import supply chain and have the ability to unravel them.
5. Good knowledge of international trade terms, requirements, and documentation.
6. Ability to be at the field and give regular customer visits.
7. Experience in overseeing teams across manufacturing/production as part of general business management.
8. A self-starter, dynamic and motivated to go the extra mile.
9. You definitively have a commercial mindset with strong communicative abilities enabling you to establish long-term relationships with the business partners and colleagues.
10. You are result driven, organised & flexible and with a talent for negotiations.
11. Compatible team-player and potential team-leader.
12. Strong leadership skills to drive a diverse team of individuals.
