About the Role Overview: As the Vice President of Sales you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding market share for our IT services firm specializing in the development and testing of software solutions. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead and inspire a dynamic sales team while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in enterprise sales within the IT services industry, a minimum of 10 years of experience in senior sales leadership roles, and a demonstrated history of consistently achieving sales targets/quotas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to exceed performance targets and foster a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by leveraging market insights, industry trends, and customer feedback to drive innovation and competitive differentiation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and industry influencers to enhance the company's reputation and market presence.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales collateral, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns to support lead generation and customer acquisition efforts.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to evaluate sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop actionable insights to optimize sales strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales processes, streamline operations, and maximize efficiency across the sales organization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities to uphold the company's reputation and integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of success in enterprise sales, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in senior sales leadership roles within the IT services industry, and a demonstrated history of consistently achieving sales targets/quota.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, drive revenue growth, and exceed sales targets in a competitive market environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a high-performing sales team to achieve individual and collective goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients, partners, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset, analytical skills, and business acumen to identify market opportunities, anticipate customer needs, and develop innovative solutions.
- Proficiency in sales management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support sales activities.
