Overall purpose of role :
- The Chief Operating Office supports both the strategy and day-to-day operations of Risk. This includes resource and budget management, driving talent development and the colleague agenda and business administration. Support day to day management of the of the Risk COO function based in India. analyzing and providing detailed reporting of headcount and costs for Global Risk.
Key Accountabilities and Skills required : Leading the India operational aspects, but also ensuring regional and global consistency of the COO processes. Build collaborative, and collegiate relationships with the global COO community spanning across functional and geographic boundaries. Supporting cross-functional, regional and global key strategic projects.
Key specific accountabilities. :
- Support the India management team and own various ad hoc projects to ensure our objectives are achieved, including tracking KPIs etc. For example negotiate, agree and track efficiency targets across global COO / functional leads Support the global location strategy for Risk, working closely with Change Management and challenging against assessed strategy.
- Accountable to articulate cost drivers, recharges, allocations, monitor spend vs. budget and flag issues to senior management. Work with site/ function leads for annual budgeting process, capacity planning and forecasting for the respective site.
- Focus on recruitment, engagement, talent development and mobility. Accountable for staff programmes - Graduate, Summer Intern and ICAI campus hiring, working closely with the appropriate HR teams. Strong involvement in the firm's Diversity initiatives. Strong inclusive relationship required with HR business partners.
- Develop an effective and impactful communication strategy for India across various channels, working closely with the India / Global Risk Communications team.
- Accountable to identify automation opportunities in headcount, cost management and other areas of priority for the Risk function. Responsible for implementation of automation solutions in collaboration with IT teams.
Stakeholder management and leadership. :
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels. Able to build a strong team with a Team and Firm First mindset, promoting outcomes that are consistent with the overall goals of the team and firm.
- Represent COO function at senior leadership meetings, providing clear and comprehensive communications regarding strategic agenda.

- Review and approval of India-wide communications. Writing ad-hoc presentations for delivery to senior visitors, project steering committees and functional leaders
