Position: VP-Regulatory Reporting

Location: Pune

Responsibilities:-

Financial Reporting, or FINREP, is a European regulation which applies to 'credit institutions' (e.g. banking organizations). All European Investment firms are required to submit their individual and (where applicable) consolidated management accounts and audited year-end financial statements in the form of the European Banking Authority (EBA) FINREP template

- Stakeholder and relationship management

- Review of quarterly FinRep returns, Asset Encumbrance and any other ad hoc local regulatory reports that may be required by location regulator

- Perform senior level analytical review on quarterly regulatory returns and ensure that the variances reported are validated.

- Liaising with various teams (e.g. Product Controller, Legal Entity Controller, CRM, Operations), where necessary, to gather relevant information required supporting regulatory reporting, as well as for analytical review purpose.

- Comply with requirements of the Global Regulatory Reporting Framework, including timely completion of reg returns and sign-offs, timely escalations, proper procedure documentations etc.

- Support any onshore review, standard or ad hoc queries required from sending location.

- Participate in working groups for any project implementations, provide user acceptance testing support and also post deployment production testing.

- Ongoing process improvements to enhance current reporting process

Qualification:-

Accounting knowledge necessary, with good grasp of financial accounting and reporting concepts (e.g. expense accruals, intercompany recharges and reconciliation, suspense clearance, fair value through P/L, SPVs, month-end adjustments, etc)

- Minimum 12 years post-graduation experience in finance function (either financial or regulatory reporting) of banks or financial institutions.

- Knowledge of regulatory rules is an advantage, but not mandatory.

- Knowledge of banking products whether through prior work experience or through academic training is an advantage.

- Proficient skills with MS Excel are essential.

- Meticulous attention to detail, and be comfortable working with large amounts of transactional data using primarily spreadsheet tools.

- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

- Self-motivated, resourceful and able to exercise sound judgement.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken English).

- Flexible and able to accommodate time zone differences
