- Serve as a pivotal member of the leadership team & governance committees in formulating Bank's goals & strategy (short term and long term) and translation of the same to business plan
- Develop, recommend and implement strategies and plans consistent with established goals in each product line and service in the region.
- Collaborate with Head of Departments at the regional office, branch managers and product heads in developing operational plans for the region based on the overall targets and budgets for the region.
- Regularly conducts detailed reviews of the Bank's operations and takes appropriate decisions for reallocating resources and re-deciding priorities.
- Approve plan for setting up of new branches and ATMs in the region as per requirements.
- Liaise with local authorities and ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are complied with.
- Review the credit risks and policies of the Bank with a view to improving and maintaining a quality loan portfolio in the region.
- Set targets and review achievement against plan for the branch managers, crown RMs, corporate RMs and MSME RMs
- Guide the team in credit monitoring activities for the sanctions made at the regional office
- Periodically report to the Administrative Office the performance of the region against the financial plans laid down.
- Drive implementation of marketing promotions and campaigns across all product propositions in the respective region
- Manage deployment of manpower across the branches in the respective region Process
- Ensure efficient operations in the region by establishing and monitoring adherence to operational policies and procedures.
- Develop and ensure implementation of changes in policies and procedures to improve productivity and service levels.
- Ensure adherence to turnaround time in all banking processes in the region such as credit proposal sanctioning, account opening, grievance handling etc.
- Reviews and recommend to the Top Management the human resources policies required to build a competitive and harmonious work environment consistent with the personnel's goals, targets and the overall objectives of the Bank.
- Ensure that all employees in the region maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, integrity, and control in execution of all their daily operations.
- Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members.
- Take overall responsibility for identification of training needs and completion of mandatory training programs/certifications for self and team members.
- Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team's capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline.
- Ensure that the regional office is adequately staffed as per the manpower requirements for each department
- Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of key performers.
