- Ensure that the day-to-day activities of the Product (Instrument) Data Management function within Enterprise Data Management (EDM) are managed efficiently covering Global markets.
- Responsible for owning and delivering functional as well as locational objectives for Product (Instrument) Data Management teams.
- Ensuring adherence to SLAs and the quality of service delivery. Define and develop metrics for the processes. Constant benchmarking of the metrics to ensure continuous improvement within the processes.
- Ensuring adequate checks and controls are in place within the processes.
- Refining processes and procedures and re-engineering them to enhance controls and meet adequate risk / cost trade-off. Constructively engage the operational -risk team in driving proactive control enhancements in the processes.
- Develop and own BCP model for Product Data.
- Own and drive change initiatives within Product Data and EDM as a whole, ensuring efficient co-ordination between the change function, technology and - operations.
- Evaluate performance of staff and contribute to creation, development and retention of leadership talent.
- Ensure adequate and relevant training for staff.
- Build relationships / engage with other departments within the firm such as Middle Office, Confirmations and Settlements locally as well as across all the locations.
- Build and manage relationships with counterparts in the regions.
- Lead the centre of excellence for Product Data Management on the basis of a service culture driven by accuracy, quality and responsiveness.
- Liaising with technology on change initiatives, projects and BAU to resolve any significant technology related issues..
