Vice President - Wholesale Lending Project Management


Principal responsibilities:

- Gain complete understanding of what customer wants to achieve, advise and challenge where appropriate and within bounds of responsibilities.

- Seek standardization of systems, processes and operational models and their alignment to those of the Group and/or the Region, to generate efficiencies and economies of scale and deliver consistent high-quality service across all businesses.

- Define the scope and outcomes, drawing up project plans, detailing timescales, resources, and budgets required.

- Identify roles and responsibilities, bring various teams together to deliver the projects.

- Oversee projects and monitor plans to ensure deadlines are met.

- Engage with key stakeholders and maintain pro-active & open communication channels.

- Establish and maintain trusted relationship with stakeholders and business.

- Track project budgets throughout the lifecycle.

- Liaise with other Project Managers (Global / Regional / Local) to identify potential synergies or inter-locks.

Qualifications:

- Graduate/ Postgraduate with minimum 12-15 years of banking experience

- Relevant experience of 10 years as a Project Manager (in formal PM roles)

- Knowledge in Credit risk is required, to facilitate the understanding of the context of the projects and be able to understand and assess the stakes. This would include understanding of data, the various models used, regulatory frameworks like Basel III and a good understanding of the end-to-end credit lending lifecycle.

- Strong and proven project management skillsets with excellent stakeholder management skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Have an Agile mindset with constant target to deliver more value to customers effectively and efficiently.

- Experienced in working with global virtual teams across different geographies, culture, and time-zones.

- Ability to challenge and question status quo in a constructive way, while accepts to be challenged and receives feedback positively.

- Strong inter-personal skills, ability to handle conflict and manage expectations.

- Experience with Waterfall and Agile methods of Project Management
