Our client, one of the fastest growing global company in the world (5 times in Inc. 200) is opening an office in India. The client is seeking to recruit a highly energetic, experienced product manager to work directly with the country head and the launch team.
Responsibilities
- Roadmap : You will provide technical leadership to a team of excellent product managers and help create and own the product roadmap for all of our consumer-facing products. This requires you to our customer's needs deeply, the technical knowledge to determine what product can be built to satisfy those needs, and the ability to define a roadmap to build the product within organizational constraints.
- Execution and Delivery : You will be expected to instill and follow good product development practices and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. You should be familiar with agile practices as well as be able to adapt these to the needs of the business, with a constant focus on product quality.
- Team management : You will be responsible for hiring and mentoring a great team of product managers; helping individuals grow in their careers, having constant dialogue about their aspirations and sharing prompt, clear and actionable feedback about performance.
- Collaboration : Collaborating closely with others in the organization to ensure that the products we build will delight our customers; this includes working closely with product managers, designers, engineering leaders, and stakeholders in other departments.
- Leadership : As a company growing at high speed, you will be expected to lead the team through uncertainties and changes in scale and organization. Often, requirements will be fuzzy, and you will be expected to bring clarity to such situations.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the products they build, in particular about the customer and user experience, and the desire to establish us as India's best online travel destination in the customer's mind. The product manager will create a strategy and roadmap for our customer experience, with the primary focus being on mobile.
He or she will prioritize the features based on customer and business impact and work with other teams to deliver the roadmap. The product manager will own the roadmap and will measure impact of the various projects that are launched.
Requirements:
Leadership skills:
- Experience managing a team of top-notch product-managers who can design and deliver great software products. Proven ability to build a successful product from scratch.
- Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to build and mentor a strong team. Ability to push through despite road-blocks and resource constraints.
Technical depth:
- You have the strong product management and technology competence required to lay out the product vision. In particular, a strong understanding of the mobile ecosystem and how it will develop.
Customer empathy:
- A deep sense of customer empathy, and UX design sensitivity. Proven record of having built great customer experiences.
Execution ability:
- Focus on delivering products in a timely manner with high quality.
- Familiarity with multiple product development practices and tools, and the proven ability to adapt, champion and institute good practices and tools.

Skills / Experience:
- Over 12+ years- experience and 8+ years- experience working in Product Management, ideally for consumer web products or eCommerce.
- BTech/ MBA from premier schools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and analyze user needs and conduct market research. Create and deliver on product vision, goal, strategy, and roadmap.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to work with user interface designers and usability experts to define customer experience for all customer facing features
- Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize tasks. Prior experience working with engineering through complete technology product lifecycle.
